Salary: 

$27.50/hourly 

Summary

This position is responsible for the safety, quality, and production of all associates staffed on the designated shift. The position has the accountability for managing both the full-time and contract associate head counts to meet shift requirements. This includes verifying quality parameters, process improvement, and training for the staffed shift.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift.
  • Ensure the security of the facility during designated shift hours.
  • Enforce all safety and processing procedures.
  • Ensure quality verification procedures are followed and dispositioned as needed.
  • Ensure production and quality reported correctly.
  • Enable effective communication between management and operators.
  • Train new employees and coach existing employees.
  • Maintain workplace in accordance with 6S.
  • Investigate and report all incidents (safety, environmental, etc.)
  • Work as part of process and quality improvement teams.
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation requires.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills

  • 3 years of team leader or supervisory experience.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Understanding of basic process improvement techniques.
  • Understanding of basic root cause techniques.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment.
  • 12-hour shifts in a non-temperature conditioned environment.
  • Must wear safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, as well as other specific personal protective equipment.
  • Must be able to pass an internal forklift safety course.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time, and safely life up to 75 pounds.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED

Computer Skills

  • Minimal Computer Skills Required
