What You'll Do
  • Effectively communicate detailed information on products and services provided to both established and potential customers
  • Prepare sales orders, detailed quotes, and assist with weekly sales reports while maintaining an expense account/cash drawer
  • Provide detailed product quotes for construction projects
  • Understands the scope of work and accurately communicates the information to sales
  • Performs rebar material takeoffs
  • Attend sales meetings, training and activities; to include performing additional duties as needed
  • Collaborate with management team to deliver Gross Margin that exceeds the business plan
  • Demonstrate all phases of the sales cycle, including prospecting, acquiring, identifying and qualifying customers
  • Organize joint sales calls with vendors and senior sales staff while generating new business and revenue through cold calling
  • Track open sales orders and process tickets to the CMC billing department while maintaining cash drawer and processing cash reports
What You'll Need
  • Must be able to use personal vehicle for occasional deliveries
  • Effective listening and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Technical expertise and knowledge of company products
  • Must be self-driven with an ability to respond quickly to client requests and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read blueprints and contracts
  • Initiative and drive in pursuing customers and building long term working relationships
  • Meet critical deadlines and handle changing priorities
  • Negotiation and phone skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
Your Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business preferred
