POSITION SUMMARY:

Fabricate tables, workstations, layouts, etc., utilizing different types of machines and hand tools. Work closely with Operations and Engineering teams to accomplish tasks to support processor workers and tissue processors. Support all projects that require support from the fabricators team and find new ways of installing new equipment and infrastructure. Comply with all company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Perform any required PM, Equipment Sanitization, maintenance, etc., in the operation processes. Will be responsible for using a variety of tools and machinery to construct components that go into our products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and understand product schematics and assembly instructions.
  • Take part in product development meetings and develop an understanding of customer needs.
  • Verify dimensions and product specifications.
  • Ensuring that all parts are for assembly are present (properly fitted and aligned).
  • Conducting quality control checks and ensuring that quality control standards are met.
  • Maintaining all assigned tasks to meet production schedule.
  • Testing products for their functionality and adjust as required to meet specifications.
  • Troubleshooting products to minimize problems.
  • Report and detail product malfunctions and create solutions.
  • Adhering to assembly safety standards.
  • Create and design components for products out of Creform (or similar material).
  • Review drawings and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers.
  • Maintain inventory and order work supplies for projects.
  • Perform maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and find solutions to complex and less complex layout, table, workstations, etc. designs.
  • Support CEA changes and modifications.
  • Follow and reinforce safety protocols and standards.
  • Maintain GDP and GMP compliance.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 3 to 5 Proven work experience as a Fabricator or similar role.
  • Proficiency in using machinery.
  • Understanding of construction tasks.
  • Excellent eyesight and color vision.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Highly developed attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; good listener
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Organized, flexible; maintain a high level of efficiency and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle time sensitive material and instructions
  • Accuracy in recordkeeping and sorting, checking, counting, and verifying information and data; legible penmanship
  • Good dexterity
  • Must show aptitude to develop appropriate skills needed for the job
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow all drawings and blue prints
  • Ability to effectively work and interact with all members of the laboratory, tissue processing, research & development, and tissue recovery functions
  • Serves as a role model for behavior, collaboration, teamwork, and results.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work is typically performed in a uncontrolled environment in the Warehouse area in the TP site. Will use an autoclave and industrial dishwashers. Will have contact/exposure with biohazardous materials, chemicals, and blood and human tissue. Training will be conducted on the handling waste and safety practices necessary for the use and disposal of hazardous chemicals and potential biohazards. Will also be trained on all applicable equipment needed to perform the job.
